Celebrating Amazigh New Year 2975: A Colorful Evening of Culture and Heritage
We are delighted to share the highlights from our special cultural evening celebrating the Amazigh New Year 2975. The event was filled with joy, heritage, and cultural expressions through various performances.
Event Highlights
The celebration featured several artistic performances that showcased the rich Amazigh cultural heritage:
- A musical performance of “Amour Ino” beautifully presented by students from Zeitouna School in Afourer
- Traditional Amazigh artistic presentations by the Ahidous Izlafn troupe from Azilal
- Wonderful artistic performances by students from Atlas School in Afourer

Project Context
This cultural evening was organized as part of the project “Linguistic Plurality, Cultural Diversity, and Shared Citizenship in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra Region.” The project is implemented by our association with support from the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication - Cultural Sector, in coordination with the Regional Directorate of Culture in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region.
The celebration of Amazigh New Year (Yennayer) is an important cultural event that helps preserve and promote the indigenous Amazigh heritage of Morocco, fostering cultural awareness among the younger generation while celebrating diversity and shared citizenship.
