AMSSAWASS Project: Strengthening the Political Representation of Elected Women
The AMSSAWASS project (equality in Tamazight) aims to address the challenges arising from structural and social barriers that hinder women’s effective participation in local decision-making. It focuses on strengthening the political representation of elected women and developing their capacities in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, enabling them to assume leadership roles within communes.

Partnership and Funding
This project is the result of a partnership between AIDECA and the “Ajyale Égalité” programme, funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the French Embassy in Morocco. The programme aims to promote equality between women and men in Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Libya, and is implemented by Expertise France in collaboration with committed local actors.
