Regional Multi-Stakeholder Meeting in Afourar
Highlights from the regional multi-stakeholder meeting « Monitoring and Evaluation of Territorial Policies from a Gender Perspective » — Afourar, 21 June 2025, which brought together a strong participation of elected officials, communal staff, experts and civil society actors from various communes in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region. The aim was to consolidate a dynamic collective memory and support the development of inclusive policies and actions for the benefit of the entire regional population.

Introductory Interventions and Interactive Workshops
The meeting featured high-quality introductory interventions by researchers, specialists and field practitioners, who shared the latest perspectives and experiences on the theme. These were followed by practical and interactive workshops on the following axes:

Best practices for evaluating and monitoring the implementation of territorial policies — presentation of effective tools and mechanisms for monitoring local policies and measuring their impact.

Challenges faced by civil society and communes in monitoring and evaluation — discussion of common obstacles and ways to overcome them to strengthen transparency and accountability.

Brainstorming sessions to develop operational gender-sensitive indicators — development of measurable indicators to integrate the gender dimension into the monitoring and evaluation of territorial policies.
