Strengthening the Voice and Capacities of Elected Women to Accelerate Inclusive Territorial Development and End Violence Against Women
AMSSAWASS project closing regional meeting bringing together over 121 participants to present results, best practices and success stories, and formulate measures to strengthen women's representation in the 2026 electoral deadlines.
AMSSAWASS Project Closing Regional Meeting
As part of the UN campaign to combat gender-based violence and within the framework of the AMSSAWASS project, Association Al Intilaka organized a regional meeting entitled:
“Strengthening the Voice and Capacities of Elected Women to Accelerate Inclusive Territorial Development and End Violence Against Women”
This meeting brought together more than 121 participants. It was an opportunity to present the project’s journey and its main results, as well as to highlight the best practices and success stories of several elected women who took part in the different components of the project during 2024 and 2025, in close coordination with partners, territorial communities, and the prefecture and provincial services of the Béni Mellal–Khénifra region.

Broad and Diverse Participation
The meeting saw the participation of specialists, researchers, elected officials, associations, cooperatives, research students, media representatives, as well as several territorial actors and civil society representatives.
Two interactive sessions and thematic workshops made it possible to formulate concrete measures and strategies aimed at strengthening the representation of elected women during the 2026 electoral deadlines, and to reflect on the new model of territorial development through four strategic axes at the level of the Béni Mellal–Khénifra region.
