AIDECA convened a regional multi-stakeholder dialogue on inclusive digital governance and artificial intelligence, bringing together more than 60 participants from civil society, public life, research, youth, and technology.
A regional conversation on AI and governance
In May 2026, AIDECA convened a regional multi-stakeholder dialogue on inclusive digital governance and artificial intelligence in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region.
The meeting brought together more than 60 participants, including territorial actors, civil society organizations, experts, researchers, developers, youth, women, and people engaged in digital transformation and civic innovation.

From technology access to meaningful participation
The dialogue explored how artificial intelligence and digital tools can support territorial governance, civic participation, access to information, and digital rights while respecting local cultural, linguistic, and territorial specificities.
AIDECA also presented an AI-enhanced tool designed within the AMSSA-AI project to support civic participation. The exchange focused on practical needs, use cases, and safeguards for responsible technology in local public life.
Partnership framework
The activity was organized under the AMSSA-AI project, implemented within the Digital Democracy Initiative Middle East & North Africa (DDI MENA), led by Innovation for Change MENA Hub with support from CIVICUS, and in partnership with EuroMedAI.
