AMSAWAS+: Strengthening women's and youth leadership for civic participation

AMSAWAS+ is a continuation of the AMSSAWASS project in Azilal Province. It consolidates the work already carried out with elected women and adds a new pathway for emerging youth leaders, with a focus on civic participation, women’s presence in public life, and local democratic engagement.

The project is supported by Azilal Province through the Support Fund for the Promotion of Women’s Representativeness - Nissaa Moucharaka. The Fund focuses on strengthening women’s capacities and supporting their integration into national political and electoral life.

Component 1: youth leadership and civic participation

AMSAWAS+ supports 20 emerging youth leaders on civic participation mechanisms, elections, civic content creation, and local mobilization. Activities combine capacity building, mentorship, content production, and practical exercises so young people can share responsible and accessible civic messages with their communities.

Component 2: elected women, visibility, and leadership

The project supports 30 elected women through coaching, tailored assistance, communication tools, and an AI-enabled coach. This component strengthens their public visibility, institutional leadership, and ability to act within local decision-making spaces.
