Duration: 2026 - 2027 Location: Béni Mellal-Khénifra Region, Morocco

Project Overview

AMUNAS-Emergent strengthens the socio-economic inclusion of women aged 18 to 45 in future-oriented sectors across the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region. The project works on skills, pathways to employment and self-employment, and the sociocultural norms that continue to limit women’s economic participation.

Project objective

The project supports women and local economic actors to create more accessible pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and productive resources. It also aims to foster a more enabling institutional and social environment for women in high-potential sectors.

Approach

  • Identify and reduce sociocultural norms and barriers that limit women’s economic participation in future-oriented sectors.

  • Strengthen young women’s skills, career guidance, and pathways toward employment and self-employment.

  • Support women-led enterprises through a flexible coaching, support, and mentorship mechanism.

  • Promote networking between public institutions, economic actors, and women entrepreneurs to improve access to opportunities and resources.
